Philosophy

Art is our native tongue.

“In the beginning was the word...
All things came into being through Him, and without Him, not even one thing came into being that has come into being. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
The word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.”
John 1-14

The word is language.
The word is language, and the language of art is the word becoming flesh.
Every form of art is language in a submerged form; art is the solidi cation of the primordial spirit, of the submerged language.

Every language is legitimate, that there is neither a simple nor a complex language, neither an unfamiliar nor a familiar language.

Ideas can be conventional or extraordinary; perceptions can be simple or complex.
The substance of the complex, however, does not lie on the surface.
Everything is rendered according to the idea, the style, the expression, the word.
Restrictions or criteria for the outer appearance are not to be found for art.
Art is creation, and every creation means subjectivization.
Hence, art is a language that never ceases to exist and evolve!
Art liberates itself from the service to rise in free independence to the attainment of truth, in which the medium, free from all interference fulfills in conformity with its proper aims the origin, the free unchained pure spirit of expression.

Art is not real art till it is in sense free, and only achieves its highest task when it has taken its place in the same sphere with religion and philosophy, and has become a mode of revealing to consciousness and bringing to utterance the Divine Nature, the deepest interests of humanity, and the most comprehensive truths of the mind.

This is an attribute which art shares with religion and philosophy, only in this peculiar mode it represents even the highest ideas in physical forms, thereby bringing them nearer to the character of natural phenomena, to the senses, and feelings which transcend time and space.

Art is the solidification of the spirit, and the spirit is infinite.
